Scanners

What a scanner?

A scanner is a device that analyzes the images paper and converts digital data. You can then display and store the image on your computer. Some of these digital images can be modified with various types of software such as Photoshop. Once in this digital format, these images can be printed, sent to Internet sites and sent by e-mail.

Any paper can be scanned, as printed texts, letters, drawings and photos. Some flat objects such as coins, may also be scanned into a digital image. Scanners can handle documents from a variety of sizes, all business cards legal size paper.

The most common type of scanner is the flatbed scanner. The flatbed scanners and see operate a bit like copiers.
